Local Party

Each year, at the Annual General Meeting of Wallasey & Birkenhead Conservative Federation, members elect the Management Team for the year ahead.

The Management Team are the volunteers who have responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the Party in the Birkenhead and Wallasey constituencies, as well as issues such as legal compliance and ensuring the Party's Constitution is followed, along with any directives from the Party's Board, National Convention or Area team.

The Management Team reports to the Executive Council of the Federation (also elected at the AGM) and comprising representatives of each of the 14 wards in the constituencies, along with some co-opted members and the Federation's Honorary President.

All members, including those elected to the Management Team and Executive Council are bound by the Party's Code of Conduct.

The Management Team for 2023/24 is:

  • Deputy Chairman (Membership & Fundraising): Margaret Kalil
  • Deputy Chairman (Politics & Campaigning): Cllr. Ian Lewis
  • Treasurer: Alan Bulmer
  • Data Protection Officer: Janice Price
