We send our condolences to Moira's family, friends and former colleagues, after a lifetime of service in our NHS and, more recently, as Labour Councillor for Rock Ferry.
At a time when too many politicians say what they think people want to hear, or worse, ignore the public altogether, Moira will be remembered for sticking to her principles, even when it made life difficult for herself or those around her.
A loyal and dedicated friend and ally to Frank Field, Moira's funeral was held today at St Werburgh's Church in Birkenhead and her life celebrated by those who attended.
